Part 1, Moab Is My Washpot: An Autobiography, came out back in 1997, but Fry has been too busy acting and directing to complete the next chapter until now.

In order to get into a writing frame of mind, he recently Twitter’d to his over 1 million followers that he’ll be cutting “connections with the outside world” in order to devote time to putting it all to paper. On his website, he stated he “need[s] peace, absolute peace, an empty diary and zero distraction.”

He also said one reason he’s been putting off writing part 2 for so long is that it concerns that time of life during and after University when he teamed up with such actors and comedians as Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Rowan Atkinson, Hugh Laurie and more. He doesn’t want it to look like some sort of tell all or showbiz bio. (Gonna be a bit hard given all the people he’s worked with!)

He’ll have to get writing quickly, though, as his publisher expects to have it by this April. Then, once that’s out of the way, he’ll be back, sharing his adventures in the Twitter-verse again.
