For anyone living in and around Mobile, Alabama, Nicholas Sparks will be at the Saenger Theatre, 6 S. Joachim St, on October 9th from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m to promote and sign his newest book,  THE LUCKY ONE.  The event is being presented by Page & Palette Bookstore of Fairhope.

VIP tickets for the event are $25 for seating in the first six rows, and general admission tickets are $15. With each ticket purchased, a $5 credit will go toward the purchase of THE LUCKY ONE from Page & Palette. (Books will be available for purchase at the bookstore and at the event.)

Currently, Nicholas Sparks is one of only two current authors to have a novel spend more than a year on both the New York Times hardcover and paperback bestseller lists.  (J. K. Rowling is the other.)

Sparks has now also branched off into writing movies.  While he didn’t write the screenplay for NIGHTS IN RODANTHE, the third movie based on his books and out in theaters right now, he is currently writing a book and screenplay for Disney that is expected to be a starring vehicle for Miley Cyrus, Disney’s current pop singing/acting phenom.  Also coming to theaters will be DEAR JOHN, another film based on a Sparks’ book that has been picked up by New Line Cinema.
